Refund & cancellation policy

1. Cancellation window

Free cancellation runs up to 24 hours beforethe tour's scheduled departure time in Chiang Mai (Asia/Bangkok, UTC+7).

A few multi-day tours require 48+ hours' notice; that is flagged on the relevant tour page at checkout.

2. Deposits

For bookings totalling ฿5,000 or more, we take a 25% card deposit at checkout; the remaining 75% is paid in cash on the tour day. For bookings under ฿5,000, full payment is taken on the card at checkout.

On cancellation within the free-cancellation window, the deposit is refunded in full or transferred to another booking at your choice. The cash balance was never charged.

3. Card surcharge

A 5% processor fee is added to all card payments. Cash payments incur no surcharge.

On a refund within the free-cancellation window, the surcharge is refunded together with the principal — you get the full card-charged amount back.

4. Worked example

Two adults book a ฿6,000 tour on a Friday morning and cancel 30 hours before departure on Thursday morning:

The ฿4,500 cash balance was never charged, so nothing to refund there.

5. Refund processing

Refunds are issued by us within 7 business days of an eligible cancellation. Once we send the refund, your bank may take an additional few days to post it to your account, depending on your card issuer.

For partial refunds or goodwill resolutions outside the standard policy, Go Tours Co., Ltd. trading as Chiang Mai Go Tours may use reasonable discretion on a case-by-case basis.

6. Weather & force majeure

We reserve the right to modify or cancel any tour due to weather, safety, or other unforeseen circumstances. If we cancel, you choose between a full refund or a transfer to another date or tour.

7. Jurisdiction

All services are subject to Thai law and Thai court jurisdiction.
